Rails embedded in low walls - Object N°111

As of 1937, rails measuring 2 to 3 metres were cut out from mostly used railway lines and driven into the banks of the rivers. They occupied four to five rows, were sharpened and unequal in length to tip over the armoured car from all sides.
Other rows of rails were placed in sockets within the pavements or near to bridges or other passages.
